Manticore Films was set up by Writer-Director Rupert Ratcliffe primarily with the goal of producing his own content for film & television. 

The idea expanded and Manticore Films has become a platform to attract like-minded creatives, professionals and financiers – to make ambitious films with artistic merit that challenge perceptions, entertain audiences and provide returns for investors.

Rupert is an Anglo-Iranian writer, director, producer, actor and businessman from London.

His lifelong passion for film led him to establish Manticore Films in 2021, as a vehicle for his own projects and as a platform to collaborate with like-minded professionals to create ambitious, artistically meritorious projects that challenge societal perceptions and entertain audiences.

Outside of film, Rupert is a Chartered Surveyor with extensive experience in property investment, asset management and development. His expertise ensures successful outcomes for his clients and much of this professional skillset has been directly transferable to running a production company from top down.

Rupert understands the need to marry artistic visions with story craft, meticulous planning and a first-rate team – to give a film every chance of success.
