Losing your mind can feel like the end of the world - especially when the world is ending. Going is a post-apocalyptic, drama short that takes a unique look at the fallout of early onset dementia. Part road movie, part dystopian survival part domestic drama.

Facing into the taboos of impaired brain function, Going challenges the narratives that dementia is exclusively an elderly impairment and that life is over once someone is diagnosed.

The film intimately explores the relationship between life partners coping with the heartbreaking nature of mental decline, set against the harrowing backdrop of a global holocaust.

Manticore Films has signed an option agreement to produce Going later in the year with Rupert Ratcliffe directing and writer Brad Brooks staying on as an Executive Producer. The team are largely assembled, most of the funds have been raised and principal photography is scheduled for October 2023.

Going is a proof-of-concept short film with a running time of roughly 25 minutes, which will be developed into a feature film or limited series after submission to the festivals both domestically and internationally.
